Hey guys!
(sliiiiiiight diversion alert…)
So before I get stuck into this post, I just want to say a few things! First up… Happy World Book Day! I’m a crazy big fan of books and I always have been…so have an awesome day to all my fellow book worms. Secondly, Electric Picnic (Irish music festival, for anybody who is unfamiliar) announced some of their main line-up this morning…aaaand… my all-time favourite band THE CURE have been confirmed… now I’m not going to go into it… because lets face it, it would need a post all of it’s own.. but AHHHHHHHHHH (yes I’m VERY excited! 🙂 ) And lastly, I have been overwhelmed from the absolutely great response I’ve been getting for this blog… thank you so much to every single person who has read this blog, commented, liked a post etc… and if you are a first time reader then HI and thank you too! I never expected to get so much nice comments and followers so quickly and I’m very grateful!
Now to mark World Book Day here’s a photo of me reading a book…. Lucky you! 😉
Reading yet ANOTHER Michael Jackson book.. I’m an MJ-crazed-fan by the way!..you will all learn this in time!
Ok rant over (heehee)
Now onto the matter at hand…..
So this morning I was greeted with two packages that I was kindly sent by companys to review their products! I know a lot of “beauty bloggers” out there are very cool and accustomed to this but I’m not THAT cool and I was stupidly excited about it. The product that I’m going to introduce first is from a company called Viviscal . What is this??! You may ask.. well… they are basically a batch of hair repair supplements similar to that of Perfectil, except they are specifically aimed towards your hair. They are tablets used to “Nourish and restore natural health and beauty to damaged hair” (what it says on the box) The supplement contains Amino Mar C (which is apparently a patented marine complex) as well as Selenium, Biotin, Folic Acid, Zinc and Grape Seed extract…so loads of natural lovelies for your hair 🙂
Here’s for the exciting bit… REESE WITHERSPOON has admitted Viviscal as one of her “secret beauty secrets” and has been quoted saying ” Viviscal is a must have for keeping my hair healthy and shiney. When I’m working on a movie, they blow-dry and cut my hair quite a bit so I take these hair supplements to keep it healthy” …. Aaaaah nothing like a bit o’ celeb endorsement! 😉 Still quite exciting though.. right?!…
Now I have to admit, when I first saw this, I though… uh oh… I can’t really review this as I don’t exactly have very damaged hair. Don’t get me wrong, I get the odd split hair and sometimes my ends get dry and brittle, however it’s not on the level that might need a supplement! HOWEVER, I then thought… y’know what.. why don’t I give it a try anyway.. it can’t hurt and it might be interesting to see if they have any effect on already pretty healthy hair. I was kindly sent a pack containing 30 tablets and it requests that you take twice daily.. so if my calculations add up, I will be taking them for a course of 15days..just over 2weeks.. at the end of these 2weeks, I shall give my verdict and let you know if there was any change. Now I would like to remind you once again.. that this product does state that it is for damaged hair so there may not be any astonishing results…ALSO because I will only be taking them for a course of 15days.. this many not be a sufficient amount of time for full results. But I’m curious to try this anyway just as a little personal experiment.
Viviscal retails at 24.95 euros for 30 tablets.
Where to buy?? You can purchase Viviscal by calling 1890 60 18 01 or by visiting http://www.viviscal.ie
Viviscal is also available in selected pharmacies and health stores around Ireland so keep your eyes peeled! 🙂
I look forward to sharing my Viviscal experience with you! Oh and stay tuned for a review of the second product I recieved in the post…ooooh mysterious and exciting! 🙂 It’s a good’un.. 😉
Until next time, thaaaanks for reading guys. Byeeee! Kx 🙂
How did you get it for free? I have extremely heat damaged hair, and I would also like to try before buying.
The company had read my blog and asked me would I be interested in trying out one of their products.. cause they saw that I had reviewed some other products before. I’ll let you know how it works for me.. in the mean time though..,if you’re interested, I’ve actually used something similar called Perfectil which really really worked wonders for me. It’s more of an all round hair, skin and nails supplement but i’ve heard now that you can get some specifically for hair… its worth a shot if youre interested. x
thats awesome! thanks for the tip!
Congratulations! How did you get 100 followers so quickly?
Hi there!
I have no idea to be honest! I was thinking the same myself! so so so grateful though! 🙂
We totally just bonded and you don’t even know it. I just saw the picture of you holding the MJ book and I love it! I’m the biggest Michael Jackson fan. He is the great artist to ever live in my opinion.
:O NO WAY! that’s amazing! I can’t even begin to explain how obsessed i am. Recently, i just got a tattoo of the lyrics “Live Life Off the Wall” on my ribs! HA im so obsessed! Wow..we have loads in common! 🙂
I know right?! Your tattoo sounds so cool. I just recently saw the MJ immortal cirque du soleil show. I was disappointed, it wasn’t as good as it could have been but there were some cool moments. BTW I totally want the Naked and Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay but I’ve never paid $50 for eye shadow before.
Oh really? I’ve always wanted to see that, it looked really good on all the ads… so im secretly glad that it isnt as good as it looks…cause we wont get it in Ireland! Yeah ive never spent that much either before, but honestly it is worth it.. it lasts aaaages and there’s 12 colours so you could do so much with it.. whenever mine runs out i will defo re-purchase! 🙂
Hi,
Can you point me to where you I’ve the update and share your experience on Viviscal? I looked thru your blog till April but didn’t see any updates on it.
