While June wasn’t the most exciting month here in Ireland in terms of weather and events, there’s nothing short of excitement when it comes to my June favourites. It’s well on to a spanking new month, so what better time to talk to you about some of the products that have dazzled me over the past few weeks.

1) Bioderma Crealine H2O: I literally couldn’t be any more late to the party with this product. Bloggers and beauty-lovers have ranted and raved about this product for the past year and a half so I finally gave in and bought it! For those of you who are even more behind than me, this is basically a water-based make-up remover and boy does it remove that make-up! A teensy bit on a cotton pad will remove a full face of make-up in a flash, including even the most pesky mascara or eyeliner. The formula is light and fragrance-free and gentle so it doesn’t irritate my skin. The only thing you need to remember is that this is a make-up remover only and shouldn’t be used in place of a cleanser or face wash. It can also be a little drying so you need to follow up with your regular moisturiser. Bioderma wins all the prizes here in Sleepingbootay land however, its’ only downfall is its’ availability. As it is a French brand, I cannot find it anywhere in Ireland so I purchased mine on eBay ( you can also find it on Amazon).

2) Nars sheer glow foundation: I dunno what has gotten into me lately but I’m all about the change and that didn’t stop when it came to make-up shopping last month. I was getting a tiny bit bored of my beloved Rimmel Wake Me up and I was itching to try out something new. As it seems to be getting hotter and hotter here in Ireland, I wanted something light and glowy but still with enough coverage. Enter: Nars Sheer Glow. This foundation makes make-up application easy. It creates a flawless glowy base without looking cakey or heavy. While I’m very much attached to my Real Techniques stippling brush, I’ve ditched it in favour of my fingers to apply this foundation as I feel it gives the best finish. The only disadvantage to this foundation is its’ durability (especially on hotter humid days). I’ve been using this with my Revlon perfecting primer and MAC’s blotting powder to keep it in place all day.

3) La Roche-Posay Toleraine cleansing lotion: I chop and change my cleansing lotion like my clothes. I’m constantly on the look out for new sensitive skin friendly lotions and potions that will agree with my skin. Last month I returned to an old favourite; La Roche-Posay in search of a new cleanser. Their brand “Toleraine” is tailor made for those who suffer from redness and sensitivity a.ka: ME! I’ve been using it for over a month now and have no problems whatsoever. It cleanses my skin effectively, leaves it feeling soft and doesn’t irritate. Hurrah!

4) Bourjois magic nail polish remover: I’m not gonna lie, I’m all about the beauty gimicks and whats more gimicky than a magic nail polish remover?! But what is it,You may ask. Well, the clever clogs over at Bourjois have created a way to remove your nail varnish without the use of cotton wool or nail varnish remover. It comes in a small pot filled with a vitamin and nutrient-rich soaked sponge. To remove your nail varnish you simply dip your finger into the sponge, twist for a couple of seconds and remove… and the varnish is gone! MAGIC! While this product isn’t necessarily necessary, it does save time when it comes to doing your nails, smells great and helps to nourish them along the way. Win, win win!

Okay guys to that’s it for my relatively short June Favourites! I’d love to hear what products you’ve been using and loving recently so please leave a comment below!
Until next time, thanks for reading! I’m off to nap!
Bye!!
