Rosehip Oil; My new Skin Hero

It’s not every day that you find a great love. It was a quiet Tuesday evening when I stumbled across mine in my local health shop. Our eyes crossed over the shelving and I knew at that instant that it was to be mine. They say love don’t cost a thing… well mine cost me just under 20 euro! Ladies, let me introduce you to the future Mr. Sleepingbootay…. the one and only…Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil!

The sciencey bit: By now you are probably asking yourself questions like: What is Rosehip Oil? Where has it been all my life? Why is it so darn good for my skin? Well let me explain, (with the help of a little Google-ing action I’ll admit) Rosehip seed oil is a pressed seed oil extracted from from the seeds of a wild rose bush.Basically, it’s a facial oil with 1 ingredient and a multitude of benefits. It is 100% natural so that means no pesky nasties on yo’ face! What it does contain though is a minimum 80% essential fatty acid (omega 3 and 6) and fatty acid (omega 9) content. Which is basically heaven for your skin. It has been used for generations as a remedy  by the ancient Egyptians, Mayans and Native Americans all because of its’ healing properties.

Results:

After just only 1 week of using this wonder oil, I saw a very noticeable difference in my skin tone and I was delighted to see that some pretty nasty scarring I had from previous blemishes were starting to fade out. It has also been incredible for calming my ever annoying redness and on top of all of that it has made my skin super smooth and soft. Application:

The packaging first of all is great, I love that it comes with a pipette which makes it easy to control how much you use and stops wastage. I use this every night after I have cleansed and toned my face. I apply a few droplets to my palm and I rub it in evenly throughout my face. I then follow with my usual moisturiser. I tend to only really use the Rosehip Oil at night-time as I feel it is too heavy for under make-up. It needs the night to really soak into your skin.

Downside: 

The only downside to this is that there’s not enough of it to cover my entire body with it!…Trilogy…get on that!! 😉
