The Event: NeoStrata Skincare Christmas Pamper Evening

(Wooh… take that for a whopper of a blog title)

Aaaaanyway…

It’s not every day that you are invited to a swanky event so when I was kindly contacted by one of my favourite PR companies and asked to attend a blogger event.. I couldn’t RSVP quick enough!

Being a complete newbie to this brand, I was all ears when i got the chance to have a chat with one of their top skin consultants. After discussing my skin needs and going over what my skin type is, she was able to recommend what range of products to use from the line and in what order. She also went through the background of NeoStrata and why it’s such a great brand to use. Here’s what I learned: NeoStrata is an American  skincare brand in which the products are all clinically-proven and dermatologist developed. The brand covers a multitude of skin needs from ageing to sensitivity and has something for all skin types; oily to even the driest of skins.  NeoStrata uses all-natural compounds that are similar and just as effective as AHAs(Alpha Hydroxy Acids) but do not cause irritation, even in patients with sensitive skin. They are fastly becoming one of the leading skincare brands worldwide and their technoligies have even been used by brands such as Avon, Chanel, Este Laduer and Elizabeth Arden to name but a few!

One of the things that striked me most about the night was the decor. The entire room was beautifully Christmas themed which of course I was all over! Christmas trees and baubles in November= a very happy and excitable Kate!

On my arrival, I was greeted with some blueberry Prosescco and chocolate (which is enough to keep any blogger happy!)

If all the skincare chitter chatter wasn’t enough, there was also a MAC Make-up Artist on hand to give you the perfect bold winter lip or a slick flick of eyeliner. Thanks to her, I’ve now got my eye on a few new shades… 😉

My favourite part of the night was the nail artist from the popular nail bar Tropical Popical who very kindly did our nails for the night. With pretty much any design and colour range to choose from, I was spoiled for choice. In the end I chose of medley of designs and colours and I pretty much have not been able to stop staring at my nails since! #inlove

On the night, I wore a very simple outfit; classic black skinnies paired with a peplum-esque floral top from Forever 21 and the ever reliable heeled ankle boots from New Look.

I kept my eyes quite bronzey using a combination of my Naked palette and the new Rimmel liquid eyeshadows in shade:    (a combo I’ve been loving at the moment) On my lips I wore my current go-to lipstick: Kate Moss Long Lasting lipsticks in 107 which is fastly becoming a hero product in my books

If it wasn’t a great night already, I also got the chance to mingle and swap blogging tips with some other really lovely bloggers which was amazing and I was finally able to put faces to a few names.

Overall, I had a really awesome night and of course I didn’t go home empty handed. Neostrata were kind enough to supply us with full-sized samples of some of their best-selling products and I’m literally dying to try them all out. Watch this space for some reviews!
